A Planet Hockey Exclusive...

What do I need to work on?  In addition to picking up new skills, you will know EXACTLY what you need to work on by the end of camp!  Your skills are individually assessed (graded) through our exclusive skills assessment program.  We will analyze your Skating (forward stride, backward stride, crossovers and starts), Stickhanding (mechanics, reach, creativity) and Shooting skills. 

We go the extra mile!  To improve hockey skills, it is imperative that both strengths and weaknesses are clearly understood.  Most players tend to focus on what they are good at and what comes naturally to them.  We will identify 'weak' areas in your game that need special attention and will help you understand how to effectively improve those skills.  You will receive:

Skills Assessment - our on ice skills assessment system will highlight both your strengths and weaknesses.  

Action Plan - our Staff will formulate a Plan of Attack specifically designed to improve your primary weaknesses in the form of our exclusive 16 page Player Profile.

16 Page Individual Player Profile (report card).  You will take home this customized skills assessment, 12 month Action (Training) Plan, On and Off ice training tips & more!

DVD.  You will take home a Planet Hockey Training DVD professionally produced by Planet Hockey and specifically designed to guide your skills growth.


*Note:
- Planet Hockey Player Profiles (16 page action plan report cards) are position specific:  Forward/Defense specific and Goaltender specific. 
- You deserve accurate, non-biased skills assessment.  Too many players are bombarded with 'warm fuzzy', negative and/or inaccurate skills assessment.  This is extremely damaging and unfair to the player.  Planet Hockey is committed to providing the most beneficial feedback and guidance possible and we go the extra mile to ‘point you the right direction’.  We call it the way we see it at Planet Hockey.  An accurate assessment is critical to implementing an effective Action Plan.  In this age of political correctness, we have encountered resistance from some parents afraid of the truth.  We use a very positive approach that shines light on the intimidating and daunting task involved in working on that which we least want to work on.  Each player, by their participation in a Planet Hockey Skills camp, gives consent to this valuable skills training component.  An athlete with any chance to rise to the top of their ranks, must have the maturity to identify, accept and improve his/her weaknesses.  If you are serious about improving your hockey skills, you will appreciate all aspects of a Planet Hockey Camp, but will likely find your Personalized Skills Assessment and Action Plan to be most beneficial.
