Bålsta Hockey Club is pleased to welcome TEAM Planet Hockey to participate in this summer’s exclusive hockey tournament and training in Bålsta, Sweden.
We look forward to a competitive hockey tournament and skills training and to a great cultural experience together, with all of our new friends from North America.

 2010 Stockholm/Balsta Tour Travel Information
IMPORTANT TRAVEL NOTES to Stockholm, Sweden

 Which Airport do we use? Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport. Airport transfers are included in your tour package for Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport only. If you choose to use any other airport, you will need to organize your own airport transfers. |

When should we arrive at the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport?
Tour Begins - The tour officially begins at 12pm (noon) on Monday, August 9th at the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport. Please book your travel so that you and your family have arrived, gathered your baggage and are ready to leave the Airport on the team bus by noon on Monday, August 9th. We recommend arrivals before 11:00am on August 9th. If you will already be in Sweden, meet Planet Hockey Coaches, Bålsta Hockey Representatives and your host family in the ARN Airport baggage claim area with all your bags at 11:00am on August 9th. MEETING SPOT - after you pick up your bags, simply exit the baggage claim area and you will immediately see our group. It's easy, you can't miss us.
Tour Ends - You may book departure flights anytime on August 16, however, we recommend late morning departure flights or later...Again, make sure to use the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport. |

Arrivals - Busses and housing families will arrive at the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport by 11am and will depart at 12pm noon on Monday, August 9th. Book flights into Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport that land in time to gather your baggage, clear customs and get to our (to be determined) meeting area by noon. Planet Hockey Staff will meet you at the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport beginning at 10:00am. You will be notified in future Tour Emails as to our meeting spot in the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport. This is a relatively small airport and we will be a very large group, so it will be impossible to miss us. |
| Departures back to North America - If you are departing on an international flight, you will need to check-in for your flight 2 hours prior to departure. Round trip airport transfers are included in your tour package, provided you arrive and depart according to these travel parameters. We will get you back to the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport only if you depart on August 16th. |
| Should we book our flights now? All confirmed players/families/team must consult with Shawn Killian prior to booking airline tickets. | Early Arrivals into Stockholm - Arriving a day or two early is a good idea. You will be much more rested if you arrive into Stockholm at least one day early. Those who arrive early are responsible to book their own hotel and to be at the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport at the correct meeting time. |
Any tips to SAVE $ on our airline tickets?
(1) Use search engines such as Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz. Once you have found a price you like, consider booking it directly through the air carrier in case any changes become necessary. Dealing directly with the airlines is much easier than having to work through Expedia if a change is necessary.
(2) Look into booking a roundtrip into a major city/hub in Europe such as Frankfurt, Amsterdam or London. Then look at a round trip between that city and Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport. Sometimes this can save a few bucks. |
| Late Arrival into the Stockholm (ARN - Arlanda) Airport? If you arrive after the group (or have travel problems) and can not make the noon team bus departure on August 9th, we will provide you with a 'Plan B' to catch up with the group. |
