Mountain Biking
This amazing 1/2 day trip is a highlight for many Campers and their families.
There are several world-class mountain biking back-country & single track trails available to us. We will select the ride depending on conditions and the ability level of the group.
Most rides are primarily downhill. One of our favorites begins at or near the top of Boreas Pass (11,500 ft), and you will ride several miles into Breckenridge (10,000 ft). You will see vintage railroad cars, amazing scenery and SNOW!
You are welcome to bring your own mountain bike and cycling clothing. Bikes & helmets will be provided to all campers. If you know how to ride a bike, you'll be able to say you conquered the Rocky Mountains...via mountain bike!
Family members, you are welcome to join us! |

Hiking
On the first full day of Camp, we will tackle a "brisk" hike in the area to help get acclimated to the local altitude. Possible hikes include many high altitude hikes to snow-fed lakes at over 11,500 feet.
Among our favorite hikes is Spruce Creek Trail. This 3-4 mile hike features several cascading waterfalls and abandoned mining cabins set in an exquisite alpine setting. You will enjoy a wildflower-blanketed hillside scattered with the rusty remnants of a bygone mining era. We set out on this moderate 1/2 day hike before the afternoon thunderstorms roll in.
Family members, you are welcome to join us! |

Paintball Gun War
With the Rocky Mountains as your battlefield, you will 'paintball' against your fellow students, coaches and family members.
Organized to simulate a hockey game. Teams compete to capture the opposing teams flag. You will have offensive and defensive players, will have to work as a team and communicate. Take quality shots, because when you are out of 'paint', you're in big trouble. You may bring your own paintball gun, and if you do, you will check it with your condo coach for safe keepings.
Supplies are provided to students including: guns, helmets, paint and all supervision. Family members, you are welcome to join us! |
